What an amazing win! Uganda’s betting history has been rewritten after hitting the highest win ever on a single ticket, UGX 1 billion.

You may have seen very big bet winners but none of them is a match to this breathtaking 1 billion bang.

This win now whitewashes Uganda’s top five wins; 632,000,000/=, 500,000,000/=, 424,889,280/=, 408,980,448/= and 308,491,744/= that had stood in positions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. Most interestingly, all these top six winners won with Fortebet.

His bets were on 1 (home wins), 2 (away wins), both teams to score-Yes and X2 (away team to win or draw) with simple odds like 1.36, 1.41…and the highest being 2.22, 2.48 and 2.68.

This UGX 1,000,000,000 winner received his money on Wednesday at Fortebet head office in Kampala.

In an exclusive interview, the winner, who is a farmer said, “This is the first time I am winning. I have come very near to winning this billion by 3 times, losing by 1 or 2 teams. I am happy my long term dream has come true.”

On what he is going to use the money for, the winner noted that, “I am first going to relax for sometime as I plan for what to do with it.
