If you need peace in your relationship, you should probably stay away from your partner’s phone. The English man says ‘curiosity killed a rat.’ This is true in every way, sometimes you think you’re helping yet you’re going to actually cause havoc. It’s only wise for you to avoid your partner’s phone and actually, it’s a sign of respect.

If you feel you have grounds of mistrust, sit them down and talk to them. What if you misinterpret the messages in the phone? What if they actually trick you knowing you would check the phone. You can’t draw conclusions just by using phone information as your only evidence. It’s not as if people have not unearthed things using people’s phones but you don’t want to go down that road.

In any case, by the time you want to check his or her phone, is enough evidence of mistrust. The best thing to do is to study them if you can’t ask them directly. Everyone knows their partner well enough. So, you must know when they are being strange. The thing about checking their phone is that when you start, you won’t stop because you will always be anxious.

Some people are free to share phones with their partners and it’s okay. Others are not free with sharing their phones and you should respect that. You must be able to trust your partner without evidence. Otherwise, if you can’t, then you are in the wrong relationship and you need to move.
