He says till now, he has never understood why a 35-year-old would own a house worth 450million.
“When you speak to the right people you know why renting is a very good thing to do. It frees your money for other income-generating projects. I have never understood why someone 35 owns a house of 450 million. The house produces no income at all. Many things I do not click.”
On reading this view, a number of people were divided; some supported him while others did not.
“This is what I have to tell youth whenever I get an opportunity. Why would you have a 250m house and yet have no daily income? That’s poverty. Rich people use their monies to create lots of streams of income and after stability they build mansions,” a one Edward Himbisa said.
“If you have never built anything like a house you can’t understand what @SamsonKasumba is talking about. Building cost is a one-way expenditure. U put in money that never comes back! But this shouldn’t alter you from building. Build after getting a steady income,” a one Mugabe Ronald said.
“Also when you speak to the right people, u understand why Mulago has more boda boda casualties than cars. I like your poor man’s thinking capacity though. When you calculate the money u have spent on rent at 35, you would realize you could be a landlord too with that little money,” a one class leader said.
