Rickman Names The Best Young Artistes In Uganda

Singer Rickman has named some of the best young upcoming musicians that he has had a chance to meet or even work with. He said that the country has a lot of unexplored young talents.

However, they are yet to be heard and appreciated by the masses.

Some of the singers he mentioned include Kapeke with whom he did the Swiriri song. Others included Joshua Baraka who is undoubtedly taking the continent by storm with some of his hot songs such as Nana and Dalila.

Kapeke,” the singer said.

Without a doubt, these singers and many more out there are very talented with very good music. Sadly, some of them haven’t found a breakthrough in the industry as their music is not appreciated by the masses. A lot of TikTok singers have dominated the spaces and taken over.

And since these singers do not do trending songs and lyrics, they find it hard to get enough airplay and fame. Unfortunately, they always suffocate before they even get to the limelight.

Efforts to promote such musicians by record labels or other financiers have proved futile. This is due to several problems with largely being the lack of strong copyright laws to safeguard artists’ work.
