Nothing about this stance has changed and he’s therefore waiting for the right moment.
He’s without a doubt prepared to steer the country in the right direction as big changes are really needed. Although there is no election at the moment, he’s desires are clear as daylight.
“For years, I have been talking about my idea of being CBF president. That has not changed. We wait for the right moment, I am extremely prepared. Brazilian football needs BIG changes. I am not a candidate, there is no election in sight. It is just my desire,” he said.
For so many years, Brazilian football was the standard of many national teams. Almost everyone grew up supporting the Samba Boys.
With footballing “gods” over the years such as the late Pele, Bebeto, Garrincha, Socrates, Zico, Ronaldo Fenomeno, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Neymar, the nation has really fallen.
They have been underwhelming in the World Cup which they last won in 2002 and have the most trophies in history. Since then, they haven’t made it past the quarter-finals.
For the Copa America, they last won it in 2018. The recent results have been underwhelming causing concerns not only for Brazilians but also football fans across the world.
