Rubanda Man Hacks Wife To Death

Rubanda police are actively hunting for a man who allegedly hacked his wife to death. Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, IP Elly Maate identified the deceased as Atuheire Florence from Bweyogerere.

He said the husband, Abel Musinguzi allegedly murdered her due to domestic violence.

Apparently, the deceased ran away from her husband on 4th April 2022 because of his violent ways. She ran away with their one-month-old child and went to her mother in Bweyogerere, leaving her husband in Ntungamo.

Maate added that the suspect followed his wife on Wednesday at around 4pm saying he wanted to reconcile with her.

Consequently, he managed to convince her to return home which she didn’t do until Thursday when her mother discovered her body in a bush.

Maate told the press that the deceased’s mother reported to the area chairperson who also reported to Rubanda central police station.

He also revealed that the suspect is still on the run but the police are searching for him.
