Russian Missile Strike Reportedly Kills 26 Including Five Children

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned the latest strikes and vowed a response as a total of 26 people including five children have been killed by the Russian missile strikes that battered several cities across Ukraine on Friday.

….” Only absolute evil can unleash such terror against Ukraine,” he said in his evening address on Friday as reported by AFP on Saturday.

However Friday’s attack included a strike on residential blocks in Ukraine’s Uman city where rescue workers were seen extracting victims remains from a destroyed residential building and according to authorities 23 people were killed by the Russian missile strikes including four children.

Authorities in Kherson said on Friday that Russian forces shelled the village of Bilozerka killing a 57 year old woman and wounding another three.

There were no casualties reported in Kyiv which was also one of the targeted cities. These fresh attacks by Russian forces were the first large scale air strikes in nearly two months.

Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak demanded more weapons and more sanctions on Russian.

While tweeting visuals of the destruction caused by Russian strikes Podolyak said …” the absolute and only possible Russian peace”… take a careful look .And look again. If you don’t want this to spread around the world, then give us more weapons. lots of weapons. And add sanctions. And begin, finally the expulsion of Russian political witches from International organisations…”

Ukrainian defence minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the government’s preparations to push back against entrenched Russian positions were almost complete.
