Rwandese Serial Killer Appears In Court, Reveals Names Of His Victims And Why He Killed Them

Suspected serial killer Denis Kazungu was on Thursday, September 21, arraigned before Kicukiro Primary Court in Rwanda’s capital Kigali. He was arrested early September after authorities found dead bodies in his kitchen where he was renting in Kigali.

Kazungu is charged with 10 counts including murder, rape, forgery, and desecration of human corpses. The number of people he killed hasn’t been identified so far. However, most of the them were apparently prostitutes.

According to The New Times Newspaper, Kazungu said he killed prostitutes because he was angry at them for infecting him with HIV.

“Serial killer’ Kazungu arraigned in court, claims he killed sex workers because they infected him with HIV,” the newspaper reported.

In the same News paper, they reported that Kazungu said he remembers a few names of the ladies that died in his hands. He said he remembers only three people he killed. Additionally, doesn’t remember others by names because they were prostitutes that he brought to his place just once.

“He said during interrogation that among the people he killed, he remembers just a few names like Eliane Mbabazi, Francois, and Eric Turatsinze,”

It should be noted that the serial killer is a professional teacher who was known to be a good person in the community he was living in.
