Sad News For Singer Evelyn Lagu As Her Health Seems To o Be Worsening

Singer Evelyn Lagu came out yesterday to provide an update about her health status and it’s surely a worrying one.

The ‘Ogumanga‘ singer had flown out of the country to Turkey a few weeks ago to seek advanced medical attention.

This followed her kidney problem which she suffered a few years back. The singer became so ill and almost went on the verge of death.

The singer was however rescued by events promoter Balaam Barugahare who took her to Nakaseero Hospital for medical care.

She was able to get a bit better from there. Doctors however, advised her to seek advanced medical attention from India where she would need to undergo a kidney transplant.

Lagu who did not have the necessary funds resorted to fundraising, car washes and well wishes finally raising the necessary sum.

She later flew to Turkey with her kidney donor and was put on dialysis for a few days as doctors analyzed her health status.

However doctors advised her that her health was too frail to support the operation. The moment she undergoes it, she will die.

“I have always communicated to you how doctors have been doing several tests on me to see if I can undergo the operation successfully. Sadly I was told am too weak and the moment they operate me, I might not make it out alive. I have been told to remain on dialysis for the rest of my life.” Lagu said.

She however pleaded to Ugandans and all well-wisher to help her with her huge medical bills.

The singer appeared in a live video and said that they told her to undergo more medical tests before returning.

These however will cost around $20,000 yet she has only $10,000. She therefore appealed to anyone willing to help to assist her.

“Please Ugandans pray for me and all well wishers. I need more money in excess of $10,000 because I only have $10,000 yet I need $20,000 for the medical tests.” Lagu pleaded.

Lagu was initially supposed to go to India for the kidney transplant.

However due to the travel ban on flights from Entebbe to India due to the status of India as a category one country in Covid 19 cases, she opted for Turkey.
