Sarah Obama Celebrates 97th Birthday Today

The former United States president, Barack Hussein Obama’s step-grandmother Sarah Obama celebrates her 97^th birthday on Easter Monday in a quiet event which might not welcome media coverage.

Sarah Obama who looks healthy and strong says she’s still optimistic about life despite growing more older.

Am still young in my heart, am still a good dancer just like was in my early age, she joked just of recent when Nairobi news visited her in her home in Siaya County in Southwest part of Kenya.

Dressed in Ankara (African print dress), golden necklace, bracelet, earrings, without any effort, she displayed smoothness and elegance, spreading the Obama leadership atmosphere.

Since Barack Obama left the White House, Mama Sarah has been avoiding publicity, she’s however concentrating on her charitable/ humanitarian activities, especially in her home village Kogelo where her grandson, Barack Obama constructed a $20,000 house for her.

Her fifth born daughter known as Marsat said, Mama Sarah supports vulnerable children, widows and orphans.
