Recently, two new lawsuits have been filed against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York. Shockingly, both lawsuits involve accusations of sexual assault by men who were underage at the time of the alleged incidents.
In one lawsuit, the victim claims he was just 10 years old when the assault occurred. The second lawsuit involves a teenage boy auditioning for “Making the Band,” a popular MTV reality show produced by Mr. Combs.
In response to these grave allegations, representatives for Mr. Combs have vehemently denied any wrongdoing, stating that he has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, regardless of gender or age.
Multiple lawsuits and criminal charges
These recent lawsuits add to the more than two dozen legal actions taken against Mr. Combs in recent months. The allegations range from rape, drugging, underage assaults, intimidation, to sexual extortion.
Additionally, the music icon is facing federal criminal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The lawsuits filed were brought forth by attorney Tony Buzbee, who claims to represent over 100 alleged victims and plans to file numerous lawsuits against Mr. Combs in the near future.
In the first lawsuit, filed anonymously, the plaintiff recounts being assaulted by Mr. Combs in 2005 at the age of 10 during an audition for a career in entertainment. The lawsuit describes a disturbing encounter in a hotel room where the assault allegedly took place.
Serious allegations
The complaints detail how Mr. Combs allegedly manipulated and threatened the victims to engage in sexual acts, causing lasting emotional and physical trauma.
The seriousness of the allegations has led to Mr. Combs being held in custody pending trial, with a potential life sentence if convicted of racketeering.
Despite the mounting legal challenges, Mr. Combs and his legal team maintain their confidence in the legal process and continue to deny all allegations against him. The case is set for trial in May, with the music mogul’s future hanging in the balance.
