The former Kyadondo east legislator will head to the district to campaign for the party’s flag bearer Nakweede Harriet Kafeero in the district chairperson by-election.
“This morning, ahead of my planned visit to Kayunga District to campaign for our flag bearer, the police and military deployed overnight around my home in an apparent attempt to block me from leaving. The cowardly regime is on its way out. A matter of time,” Kyagulanyi tweeted.
Consequently, the situation is already tense in the area. President Museveni and Bobi Wine are also expected in the district to campaign for their respective candidates.
NUP also had massive rallies yesterday in Kayunga that saw a number of bigwigs brace the rally.
These were led by NUP’s Secretary-General, David Lewis Rubongoya, MPs Betty Nambooze, Joel Ssenyonyi, Medard Lubega Ssegona among others.
“It was again a memorable day earlier in Kayunga as Many of the @NUP_Ug leaders led by our Secretary-General @DavidLRubongoya popped in a rob dab style to preach the revolutionary word to the oppressed Ugandans in Kayunga . We are to paint it red Come rain,” Harriet Kafeero stated.
The situation will be tenser today as both Museveni and Bobi Wine are expected in Kayunga district.
Many have already spotted NRM yellow buses in Kayunga. They are ready to transport people to President Museveni’s meetings for the party’s candidate, Andrew Muwonge.
