All school heads converged at the venue yesterday and by the end of today are expected to find placements for over 320,000 students.
The total number of students to miss the senior 5 selection by these government schools will be announced later today.
According to the selection, many traditional schools across the country decided to hike their cutoff points. The particular reason for this circumstance has everything to do with better performance by the candidates.
For example, Trinity College Nabbingo hiked their cutoff points from 16 to 14 as St Henry’s College Kitovu hiked from 15 to 14 aggregates. Immaculate Heart Girl’s in Rukunjiri hiked their’s from 21 to 18.
Other schools include Makerere College which hiked points from 18 to 17 for girls and 15 to 14 aggregates for boys.
Kiira College Butiki also did the same from 22 to 21 and Mbarara High School from 22 to 19 aggregates.
