Serena Bata Reveals Why She Fell Out With Abitex

Singer Serena Bata has revealed the real reason why she fell out with local events promoter, Abitex and apparently, it’s not music-related. It should be noted that Abitex signed Bikalubye Singer on a 2-year contract. This is after she had parted ways with Sipapa who is currently in jail. The two, however, fell out a while ago and resorted to attacking each other.

The promoter who has a niche of clashing with singers ran to court to sue the singer. He wanted hundreds of millions from her over an alleged breach of contract. This case, however, withered somehow and now the tides have turned. Serena Bata has now revealed that she’s the one who is going to court because Abitex has refused to give her back her songs. Besides, there is nowhere she breached the contract as the claims Abitex made were after the contract expired.

On top of that, the promoter himself violated the contract severally. She said that he was after something else and when they didn’t come to fruition, he became angry thus the wrangles.

“My lawyers have already prepared the papers and we are going to court. We want our music back because it’s for the people. I never violated the contract as Abitex claims. He did all this because of anger since he thought that I could sleep with him. When that failed, he resorted to dragging me down. However, I’m prepared to rescue my music because the contract clearly states the owner,” she said.

Furthermore, she added that she has immense respect for the promoter because he’s an industry veteran. However, he should be adding a pillar to it and not destroying it. This is not the first singer that has had severe disagreements with the promoter. The likes of Dr Jose Chameleone, Chance Nalubega, Pallaso, Alien Skin among others have all been his victims.
