Serena Bata Sympathizes With Abitex After He Fired Her

Local female musician, Serena Bata, has shown that there is no bad blood between her and ex-boss, Abbey Musinguzi of Abitex promotions.

While appearing on a local TV interview, Serena Bata said that Abitex fired her hastily. He neither gave her a platform nor proved the allegations he based on to sack her.

It should be recalled that Abitex signed Serena Bata after she fell out with her manager-cum lover Sipapa.

Abitex and Serena Bata didn’t however last long as the veteran Bivulu promoter showed her the exit door. This is after she was video-taped smoking shisha and dancing erotically at a hangout spot.

He fired her without contacting her which she found odd. She however says that they have no problem and have continued to work together.

“I have no problem with Mzee Abitex despite what happened. I still find the way I was fired to be unfair. This is because I was accused of the allegations I was fired for. Having a contract with him didn’t mean I didn’t have a life of my own to live. However, all is good now and we do talk. He brings me business and we have no bad blood between us. I also wish him to recover from the setbacks he’s embroiled in currently,” said Serena Bata.

The Bikalubye singer also refuted allegations that she’s jinxed. This is because all the previous managers she’s had and quit have ended up in jail.

First, it was Sipapa who is still behind bars over robbery. And now, Abitex spent several days in prison.

This followed the stampede at Freedom City on New Year’s that led to the death of about 10 people. He was however released on bail yesterday.
