How To Shape Your Own Life And Avoid Getting Caught Up in Other’s

Do you know that you can get so caught up in other people’s lives that you forget to shape your own life? Someone may wonder how this can even happen. Well, it is so easy, it has happened. Unfortunately, people only realize it when It’s almost impossible to turn back. No one intends to do this anyway, everyone thinks they’re actually helping.

Have you looked at people who are always there for others? Anytime they are called upon, they appear in a flash. They will even leave whatever thing they were doing however important it may have been. Most of these people end up helping others shape their lives only to neglect theirs. They will pull out money for everyone, they will escort everyone, they will be in all meetings regarding their friends’ lives.

It is not bad to help, nonetheless, we all need help in one way or the other. However, it becomes a slow death for you when you have no time for yourself. Draw some limitations on how far you can or should go. It is very fine for you to be unavailable sometimes. It is not a must for you to be part of everything about your friends. You can intentionally choose to be absent especially if it’s not pressing.

Sadly, these people who are always there for others, no one is there for them when they need help. Your life is as important as those you’re trying to help. Do not neglect your life. Follow your own dreams too. Build your life as well. Shape your life in all ways you can. Don’t always be in a hurry for others that you forget you have a life too. At the end of the day, we shall all be looking at what kind of legacy you have left behind.
