Sheema district police has launched a manhunt for a man said to have killed his uncle’s wife. The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old Twesigye Frank aka kadogo made his getaway after the incident.

He allegedly murdered Katushabe Peninah, 40, a wife to his uncle and a resident of Kyangyenyi ll cell, Kyangyenyi ward, Kakindo Town Council, Sheema District.

It’s alleged that on 16th March 2022 at around 7Pm, Twesigye came home from the bar while drunk. When he got home, he demanded money from his wife Kembabazi Jackline so that he can go back to the drinking spree that the wife never had.

The wife replied Twesigye in a way he didn’t like so he threatened to kill her. Before he could, she ran away to seek refuge at the home of the suspect’s uncle.

Twesigye followed her to her hideout and damaged the door to the home in search of his wife.

Unsatisfied with his search for his wife that went in vain, he came back and confronted Katushabe. Unfortunately, Katushabe was found dead the following day in front of their house lying on her back.
