In a recent development,the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan has made a bold statement, asserting that Pakistan responded to India’s strikes by downing Indian jets. However, this claim has not been confirmed by Delhi, adding to the uncertainty and tension between the two nations.
During the national address, PM Shehbaz Sharif described the downing of Indian jets as a direct response from Pakistan to India’s actions. This move was framed as a necessary reply to the events unfolding between the two countries.
Pakistan reported a tragic toll of 31 deaths and 57 injuries due to air strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, as well as firing along the Line of Control.
On the other hand, India’s army stated that at least 15 civilians lost their lives in Pakistani shelling on the Indian side of the de facto border.
The missile strikes carried out by India were allegedly in retaliation to a militant attack on Indian tourists in Pahalgam the previous month, a claim that Islamabad vehemently denies.
This ongoing cycle of accusations and denials further heightens the animosity between the two nations.

The region of Indian-administered Kashmir has been embroiled in a prolonged insurgency, resulting in a significant loss of lives over the years.
Both India and Pakistan lay claim to Kashmir in its entirety, deepening the historical and political complexities of the conflict.
