Sheikh Kitti Refers Cohabiting To Prostitution

Islamic motivational speaker, Sheikh Kitti, has told young ladies not to stay with a man who hasn’t visited her parents officially. He said cohabiting with any man is prostitution although people don’t take it seriously.

In the African society, a man visiting the family of the lady and revealing himself as the future husband is very important. It adds to both the man and family of the girl he wants to marry. There is even paying dowry which is most of the times determined by the parents of the girl. However, men tend to fear going to the family of the lady they want to marry. This is because of the responsibilities that will be given to them.

According to Sheikh Kitti, a man who fears responsibilities doesn’t need to be given to any lady. He told ladies when dating, the first thing they need to ask a man is if he is ready to visit the parents.

If the man fails, the lady should leave him because if she allows him to stay with her, that is considered prostitution. He said ladies need to also consider the respect of their families.

For Muslims, a man is allowed to marry a maximum of four ladies. However, this possible only if he has the power to look after them equally. Sheikh Kitti said for Muslim ladies, if a man who decides to marry her as the second, third or fourth wife while other wives are suffering, she should refuse.

“I want to tell ladies that staying with a man who hasn’t visited your parents officially is called prostitution. That man can’t have respect for you and your family at the same time. I want ladies to think about that,” he said.
