Shock As 6-Year-Old Is Found Hanging Inside House In Bweyogerere

A 6-year-old girl has been found hanging inside their house house in Bweyogerere. Apparently she was angry because they took her to a school she didn’t want to go to.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson the incident happened at Bweyogerere Central Zone, Kira Municipality in Wakiso district.

“It is alleged that the deceased was seen by her brother, a 13-year-old, hanging on a cloth tied in the middle bed of a three-decker bed. The brother had just returned from school and attempted to open the door. They had however locked from the inside,” Owoyesigyire said.

Apparently, it was the deceased’s brother that saw her first. He peeped through the window only to see his sister hanging above the decker.

He then ran to inform his mum. Catherine Nakafu, a 35 year old businesswoman on hearing this ran to inform the police.

“Our scene of crime officers managed to visit the scene picked the relevant pieces of evidence. They later took the body to city mortuary at Mulago for a post mortem. The investigative team has also established, through the parents, that the deceased was pending return to the village in Buikwe District, to a school she did not want,” Owoyesigyire said.

Owoyesigyire, noted though that much as investigations are on going, all points lead to suicide.
