Many female musicians in Uganda dread the idea of getting a man and finally settling down into marriage.
The Balance singer said that she prefers having a private relationship that’s not privy to the public eye.
Her reason for this was that you suffer a lot of embarrassment when the man finally leaves.
Therefore according to her, it’s better to keep your spouse private just to save yourself embarrassment in case things go offside.
“I don’t really like weddings or kwanjula. There is a lot of embarrassment you suffer when the man leaves. I would rather have my man in private. What matters is the love we have for each other,” Karole Kasita said.
She’s not the first female musician to discredit the marriage institution.
A majority of female musicians have on several occasions come out to express their desire to stay away from relationships and marriages for some time.
Most of the budding artistes are all single despite successful music careers.
These always claim they are married to their music and a serious relationship would jeopardize their careers.
The majority of these artistes’ fans feel like their superstars are growing old each day and should get themselves partners.
