Singer Sophia Nantongo Addresses The Fraud Allegations Against Her

Veteran female singer Sophia Nantongo, has decided to come out and adress the fraud rumors labeled against her. This is after a one Stanley this week appeared on TV and accused the singer of defrauding him off a sum of 11 million shillings. This was to help him get a job in the US but sadly the singer conned him. Even after he sued her, she bribed her way out of jail.

The singer has now aired her side of the story. She said that she knows this Stanley man because the sister is a close friend. I’s also true that she received his money to process his papers. However, they were helping Stanley to get a US Visa and not a job. This is because her company is not one that provides labor as per Stanley.

Sophia further added that the fault is with their partners in the US who postponed the program. However, once this is done, then her hands are tied and Stanley had to wait.

She added that Stanley ran to Police where they summoned her and she showed up.

Apparently she got released after she explained how everything transpired. The two were advised by Police to come up with a mutual understanding. They agreed to refund his money and a payment plan was come up with.

“I know that man Stanley because the sister is a close friend. We received his money but through the company and not me individually. We wanted to help him get a US visa and not a job because my company doesn’t provide labor services. However, the partner company in the US postponed the program and we found ourselves tied. Since we had nothing to do, he felt conned and he ran to Police where I was summoned. I explained to them what had actually happened and they told us to come up with devised payment plan after a mutual understanding,” said the singer.

She added that she was surprised to see Stanley in the news before the date for the next payment had actually arrived. The singer said that she has no problem with paying back this money and she indeed will.
