Soon, three ‘Big’ NUP Members Will Join NRM – Rogers Mulindwa

NRM spokesperson, Rogers Mulindwa, has revealed that the NRM is set to catch some big fish from NUP very soon. For a long time, we have seen political parties strengthen themselves at the expense of others.

This is by poaching some of the strongest individuals from the rival political parties. A common character of the NRM, Mulindwa says that they are having talks with these NUP members.

Mulindwa went ahead to reveal that this Opposition has been built on hate. He also blamed the opposition for not conceding defeat just as the NRM does.

An example was pointed out by Mulindwa such as the lord mayoral seat where they always accept defeat to Erias Lukwago.

“We have some people in NUP we are talking with and I promise you, soon, three ‘big’ NUP members will join NRM. The Besigyes built the opposition on hate. They never had ideas and all they did was say they are going to defeat Museveni. They have promised this since the 2000s,” said Mulindwa on the NBS Eagle.

Kibanda north county MP Linos Ngompek also downplayed the opposition’s influence on the same show. He said that as the NRM, they don’t feel the presence of the Opposition.

According to him, the situation in this 11th Parliament is just the same as was in the 10th Parliament.

Ngompek also pointed out that these opposition political parties shun IPOD sessions. However, when the money is released, they always show up gladly to pick it up.

“When it comes to IPOD, the opposition never shows up but when money goes to their accounts they pick it.”

Meanwhile, as NRM intends to fish from NUP, the Bobi Wine-led party is also fishing from fellow opposition political parties.

It’s no longer a secret that the Kamwokya-based party took two of FDC’s stalwarts. These include Habib Buwembo and a one Kajambiya who have been great pillars in the FDC struggle.

Several people have come out to criticize this because it apparently doesn’t make any sense. They don’t see why parties having a common target can weaken each other with such moves.
