Veteran singer Sophie Nantongo Reveals Why Marriage Is Both Easy And Hard

Veteran singer Sophie Nantongo has opened up about the challenges in marriage. She revealed that several factors make the institution hard and easy. According to the singer, marriage is hard when you pick someone that is not your key.

However, if you pick the perfect key for your lock, then you’re bound to navigate through every obstacle comfortably.

It should be recalled that she’s married to Ugandan football manager, Omulangira Sam Ssimbwa. The two have been together for 11 years now.

She revealed that one of the key elements of a successful marriage is understanding one another. That was the case for Sam Ssimbwa. He knew her schedule as a musician and he tolerated her.

“Marriage is not hard and at the same time, it’s not easy. If you pick your number, then all is going to be fine. But if you fumble and pick a number that’s not yours, hell will break loose for you. Me and Mulangira have been together for 11 years and we perfectly understand each other,” she said.

Sophie Nantongo who is one of the legendary Ugandan singers was married before to Hajji Kagoma. Ssimbwa too on the other hand was married. Initially, their relationship was dogged by scandals but they managed to keep it off social media.

Besides, the songstress also revealed that she doesn’t let her name rule her. Instead, she’s the one who rules it hence the success of her marriage.
