In a recent development, Spice Diana has chosen to share her perspective on the highly publicized rift with Uncle Chumi, the original mastermind behind the renowned ‘Gwokute Gwobba‘ song.
The controversy unfolded when Spice made the bold move to remove the remix of the track from her digital platforms, a decision influenced by the outcry from her loyal fans, fondly known as The Spice Gadgets, who expressed feelings of disrespect towards Chumi.
Despite external perceptions, Spice clarified that the remix did not achieve the expected level of success in terms of audience engagement.
Setting the record straight on song’s reception
Dismissing the assumptions of its popularity, Spice candidly expressed, “Those claiming the song was a hit have no idea. It received minimal exposure on both television and radio platforms.”
Furthermore, Spice Diana disclosed a crucial detail regarding the remix’s royalties, emphasizing that all earnings were attributed solely to Chumi, leaving her with no financial benefit from the collaboration as initially believed.
Nevertheless, Spice stood by her choice to retract the track, highlighting the lackluster reception it received and downplaying the significance of the controversy.
In a show of resilience, Spice confidently stated, “I refuse to dwell on trivial matters such as this. It’s not worth shedding tears over.”
