Musician Spice Diana has distanced herself from the Uganda national musicians Federation. It should be noted that the singer was part of the founding members of the federation.
She was a key figure and was always seen in the meetings that led to the start-up of this federation. However, of late she has seemed to take a stance away from the federation’s activities.
Rumor has it that she discarded being part of this group. Speaking to the media, Spice said that she’s always busy.
That is why she does not have time to take part in the federation’s activities. However, she thinks that other leaders there are doing what they are supposed to do.
“I’m really so busy these days with a lot of shows. I am booked for the entire month. So, I don’t really have time to know what is taking place there. But I’m pretty sure that the leaders who I left are doing really amazing work.”
This Federation has come under a lot of criticism, especially from musicians that align with singer and politician Bobi Wine. Some think that it was put in place to fight the politician who looks to be a threat to the ruling government.
Meanwhile, Spice Diana also talked about her time working with Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz who was recently in the country. They apparently hit the studio and recorded a couple of songs according to the Siri Regular singer.
They did not only record one song, they did more than two. Each singer is expected to take a song of their own which they will be responsible for covering all the costs.
Spice will be heading to Tanzania soon for the video shoot. She also said that the Wasafi Records boss didn’t ask for any money from her. All the songs they did were free of charge.
