The Start Is Never Easy – Faridah Nakazibwe Speaks Out After Her Concert Massively Flops

NTV news anchor and Mwasuze Mutya presenter, Faridah Nakazibwe, learnt the hard way when it comes to organizing concerts as her Greater Masaka Fete event massively flopped.

She however hasn’t lost the hope as she acknowledged that the start is never easy.

This event happened over the weekend at the Masaka Recreational Grounds. And with Greater Masaka having more than 5 districts plus some of the most distinguished personalities in the country, it was expected that people would grace it in huge numbers.

Additionally her TV character which seems down to earth especially for the program she does were expected to be an incentive in pulling people.

The event was advertised for over a month. Some of the best entertainers were expected to grace the inauguration of the event.

It wasn’t far as the D-day reached but boy oh boy, social media can really hype. The event which was expected to have thousands of people only had a handful of them. This automatically earned the gorgeous TV presenter a place in the “Flops hall of Fame” in the country.

Faridah nevertheless came out and appreciated everyone who was part and parcel in organizing this concert.

“A special thank you to everyone who supported the #GreaterMasakaFete. We did our best and acknowledge that the start is never smooth. Thank you to our sponsors, service providers, artists, organising team and attendees who believe in the initiative. I am proud of you all,” she said.

Social media users have come out to express their opinions on why this show could have flopped. Some blamed it on the timing especially since there was the Nyege Nyege Festival in Jinja. Others blamed it on the hype given to Faridah making her think she’s bigger than the reality.

“In all things you do, never trust people from Masaka. – Faridah Nakazibwe 2022,” TikToker Sammi Manini advised her.

“But Faridah Would have waited for #NyegeNyege2022 to stop then do her staff coz there is nothing bigger than Nyege Nyege,” another said.

“What does Crystal Panda and Faridah Nakazibwe share in common,” another joked in relation to Crysto Panda’s recent concert that massively flopped and he had the rains to blame.

Well, Faridah will be counting severe losses after this experience but hopefully she won’t be unfazed.

This was the concerts inauguration and there is a lot for her to learn.
