Stop Being Noisy Lion When Addressing Issues – Twaha Kagabo Tells Bobi Wine

Twaha Kagabo, the MP for Bukoto South in Lwengo district has criticized his party president, Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine. According to the MP, Kyagulanyi should stop solving issues like a noisy lion.

The MP said that Kyagulanyi’s problem is seeking fame in leadership. He went ahead to say that leadership and stardom are two different things.

The MP also said that some issues shouldn’t be divulged to the public. He pointed out how President Museveni didn’t make a lot of noise about the iron sheets scandal yet he still managed to solve it.

Read his statement below;

“Kyagulanyi’s challenge is that he still seeks fame in leadership. Leadership and stardom are different things. He desires to address every issue. However, a noisy lion can’t catch an antelope. In leadership, you can’t disclose everything to the public. Recently, we witnessed the iron sheet scandal involving NRM members, but to date, we haven’t seen Museveni come out to address it.”

This all is as a result of the struggle between Bobi Wine and the party’s deputy president in Buganda, Hon Mathias Mpuuga. Apparently, Bobi Wine has stated that Mpuuga participated in corruption where he pocketed Shs 500m.

On the other hand, the MP disputes this saying that the money was lawful and he hasn’t even yet gotten it. NUP asked Mpuuga to step down, a thing he’s adamant to do.

Different stakeholders in the party have already picked their side directly and indirectly. Many analysts have predicted that whatever the outcome is of this saga, it’s definitely going to weaken the young party as the 2026 general elections loom around the corner.
