This is because it brings up shocking things that may be undesirable for one to know.
The former MP said that apparently, in his religion which is Islam, a man is considered the father of all children if they are born to his household. He, therefore, does not see the need for these tests.
The ex-legislator further advised that children should be raised as children regardless of who the true parent is.
“I don’t know why one would want to carry out a DNA test. Why do you want to find out things you don’t want to know? In my religion, the owner of the bed is considered the father of all the children. There is no need for a DNA test. Let us simply raise the children,” he said.
This comes at the back of a growing trend of DNA tests. Loads of men have been taking their children for these tests. And without a doubt, many have been left stunned and shocked.
Some of these men find out that out of the children they call theirs, they either have one, none. An example is events promoter Abitex who said that out of the 9 children he took for a DNA test, just one turned out to be his.
Well, opinions still vary in the public on the right way to go about this. Some have even proposed carrying out these tests as soon as the child has been born to put to bed the pending risks that would lay ahead.
