Stop Faking In Front Of Camera – Vampino Tells Eddy Kenzo Over Beenie Gunter’s Arrest

Veteran dancehall singer Elvis Kirya alias Vampino has attacked the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, Eddy Kenzo. He apparently told him to stop acting in front of the camera and do some real action.

It should be noted that Beenie Gunter was arrested and detained in Abu Dhabi. This was over a fight between different promoters where he got involved as he allegedly tried to de-escalate the situation. Since then, different musicians have been sharing solidarity messages for him on social media.

Apparently, Kenzo addressed this affair both on internet platforms and on TV interviews. He said that they were in touch with the Tubayo singer’s wife Nicki Berry. Besides the Federation was trying to get in touch with the Ugandan embassy in the UAE.

However, while appearing on Sanyuka TV, Vampino said that they want people with real actions. What Kenzo was doing was simply for the camera.

The Kwekunyakunya singer said that Beenie Gunter’s baby mama informed him how Kenzo had switched off his phones after promising them help. All attempts to reconnect with him have since proved futile.

The veteran singer added that the only musicians who acted quickly when asked for help were Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool. These two sent some money to help in the case.

“I just don’t like people acting in the media for the sake of cheap popularity. We want people with real action and not just words. Beenie Gunter’s baby mama said that he called the Federation president’s number after he promised help but it was off. The only people who helped us quickly are Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool,” said Vampino.

Luckily, the Gun talk boss was released on bail but can’t fly back home due to travel restrictions. Apparently, Vampino is one of the Ugandan artistes who has ever been jailed in a foreign country.

He was arrested in Jamaica a few years ago and definitely he understands the feeling and situation.
