Sudanese security operatives have finally netted the top opposition leader following the attack on the new rebellious protests taking place in various cities across Sudan since Friday.

The demonstrations which begun on 19th December was against the increase in price of bread, fuel shortage and currency devaluation. Later, it was against Omar Al-Bashir’s government which came into power since 1989 through a military coup.
The leader of Sudanese Congress party ( SCP ), Chief Omar el-Digeir was finally arrested in Omdurman near the West bank of the Nile where the demonstrations reportedly begun.
After Chief Omar’s arrest, he was taken to unknown place. We actually don’t know where he is,’’according to the party statement.
Sudanese government says 19 people have been killed so far, but Amnesty International recorded the death toll at 37 since the demonstration begun, according to the reports from Aljazeera.
