The suspect in the murder case of the late ASP Muhammad Kirumira and the lady he was driving with at the moment Naalinya Stella, was arraigned in court yesterday and later sent back for further investigations to be carried out.

Abubakar Kalungi, 47, who’s a resident of Wakiso denied such allegations saying he’s innocent and he’s being framed for doing something he doesn’t know anything about.
Kalungi who’s a carpenter according to those close to him, appeared before grade one magistrate Kirya Martin and the judge adjourned the case to 31st October 2018 as asked by the state since is still carrying out and have not yet completed it’s investigation into this matter.
Since Kalungi is facing a murder charge which is capital, his case can only be tried or to get bail at the same time in the high court, that’s why he was sent back on remand where he’s been since the arrest at Kigo prison.
State prosecution Kamushaba Mariam asked the court to adjourn the case to another date because investigations in this case are still ongoing.
Now Abubakar Kalungi is due to appear next on 31st Oct as stated earlier and before leaving, he got a chance to speak to the nearby journalists saying he’s innocent and doesn’t know why he was arrested before being forced to enter the prison bus by the prison guards who gave him little chance to explain himself.
It should be remembered that the late ASP Muhammad Kirumira was shot dead by unknown gunmen traveling on a motorcycle.
