Apparently, the label came into existence back in the early 2010s. Their first signing was the brilliant Irene Ntale. She did exceptionally well and although her talent was undeniable, Swangz put in a lot of effort. No wonder her career went on a spiral decline after she left the label.
After Ntale’s exit, the label which is owned by former singer Benon Mugumbya and businessman Julius Kyazze went on to prize other female singers. These have turned out to be Vinka, Winnie Nwagi, Azawi and Zafaran herself.

Meanwhile, Zafaran revealed that she joined the music industry after her parents failed to raise tuition for her university. She hopes to make them proud and also complete her studies one day.
