The Galaxy FM Zzina Awards 2021 Sees Pallaso Bagging 3 Awards

The Galaxy FM Zzina Awards 2021 went down yesterday, leaving many artists with different awards in numerous categories. However, of recent, Uganda has had some eye-catching awards that always got people talking.

Consequently, after the fading away of the Pearl of Africa Music Awards (PAM Awards) at the turn of the 2010 decade, a lot of awards have sprung up lately.

These include awards such as Hipipo, Zzina Awards. The latter organised by Kansanga based radio station 100.2 Galaxy FM have stood out because of their consistency.

Last night the 7th edition of these awards took place in a virtual way and singer Pallaso was the biggest winner of the night bagging three awards.

Therefore, the full list of winners include:

Artist of The Year; Pallaso (Winner)

Song of the Year; Malamu – Pallaso (Winner)

Best Female Artist; Spice Diana (Winner)

Best Male Artist; Pallaso (Winner)

Best Producer; Daddy Andre (Winner)

Best Fans Team; Fameicans (Winner)

Best LugaFlow/Rap Song; Buligita – Fik Fameica (Winner)

Best LugaFlow/Rap Artist; Fik Fameica (Winner)

Best Dancehall Song; Tumbiza Sound – Eezzy (Winner)

Best Dancehall Artist; Vyper Ranking (Winner)

Other categories also included;

Breakthrough Artist; Victor Ruz (Winner)

Best Contemporary Urban Song; Ebisooka N’ebisembayo – Dre Cali (Winner)

Best Contemporary Urban Artist; Dre Cali (Winner)

Best Afro Beat Song; Tweyagale – Eddy Kenzo (Winner)

Best Collaboration; Andele – Daddy Andre ft Nina Roz (Winner)

Best Song Writer; Daddy Andre (Winner)

Best Comedian; Maulana & Reign (Winner)

Best Inspiration Song; Corona Virus Alert – BobiWine ft Nubian Li (Winner)

Furthermore, the last two awards determined by the judges included;

Sports Personality of the Year – Cheptegei Joshua

Legend of the year – Afrigo Band

The Zzina Awards that were held at the station’s premises in Kansanga were 20 in total. Fans had the chance to vote for the 18 categories and a panel of judges chose two categories. These were sports personality of the year and also, the legend of the year.

Therefore, the show kicked off as early as 10AM with appearances on the red carpet. Performances from musicians such as Karole Kasita, Pallaso, Hey Bilangi langi, Martha Mukisa, Eddy Kenzo, Pia Pounds, Mudra and Sama Sojah also took place.
