If at all you ever thought that the music industry is a walk in the park full of luxury, you had better think twice. Singer, Princess Amirah has said that the industry is not as easy as people perceive it.
She said that people look at a musician as someone with a simple life. However, life is as difficult for them as someone else in another profession.
Further, she said that she sometimes does gospel music in which she finds solace. The Sibookya singer however said that she’s been able to make a lot of connections in the music industry.
It’s one of the things she’s grateful for and is hopeful of making money in the future.
“The music industry is not as smooth as people think. People look at an artist as someone who is very okay but life is as hard as it can be in any other business. Sometimes I even sing gospel music when I am confused.
From the music industry, I have been able to get connected to people who later become good friends to me. I believe that’s one of the things I am grateful for and I hope to make money in the future,” Princess Amiirah said.
The band musician also talked about the much-heated copyright law, especially the remarks made by Bobi Wine which have created a row.
According to her, the Firebase boss’ comments were clear enough. Apparently, Big Talent boss Eddy Kenzo just attached unnecessary feelings.
In her case, she said that nobody has ever approached her in regards to the Musicians Federation. All she knows about it is through social media.
