Musician Bebe Cool is famous for his ruthless and direct opinions has branded today’s musicians as lyrically lacking. The Gagamel boss said that these musicians currently sing trash. He pointed out the viral song Chai We’njaye by Omutume Planet.

The singer’s comments were aimed at the disrespectful young musicians. Bebe Cool said that these current singers are so disrespectful to the veterans. He added that he is going to reach a point of not helping these musicians anymore. According to the Wire Wire singer, these will never reach the level of the existing musicians.

He pointed out some of the things that make musicians stand out. According to Bebe Cool, they have a catalog of music that speaks volumes. They have social capital, families, fan base and wealth. This is something that the current crop of musicians can barely achieve.

Furthermore, he added that these musicians should know that a time can reach when their music careers hit a dead end. He pointed out how even music is no longer paying well. This is due to the fact that artists such as him no longer show up frequently. Besides, the songs released nowadays are absolute trash. It is rare to attract a big and wealthy personality such as Kirumira to come and see Chai We’njaye.

The Silent Majority boss also added that he doesn’t even know if he will give his Bebe Cool list award to such a song.

“These young artists need to be mannered. You can’t just come onto the scene and start disrespecting us with just one song. The things we have seen and achieved make us stand out. Music, families, social capital among other things. Imagine these musicians don’t have a personality they can call in case they get arrested to secure them a bond. This definitely shows that we are not on their level,” said Bebe Cool.
