Top Burundi official flees on the day before controversial vote

The head of Burundi parliament “Pie Ntavyohanyuma” fled from his country on Sunday and said he had to leave his country due to the unrest striking of the people in the country that are against the illegal third term of their President in Burundi.

Pie said that he is currently forced to live in Brussels for a moment due to the hardships in his mother country,  he also says, “ I would like to tell president Pierre Nkurunziza that the authority he wants of carrying out the illegal third term is senseless to the country.”

Burundi is still in problems!

Most of the mediators within the country have requested the government of  Burundi to postpone the election and give time for some Burundians that have fled from the country to come back which will allow the country to have  inclusive elections.

As the country faces its worst crisis since its civil war ended nine years back, the opposition in the country have vowed that the Monday polls won’t take place and also the UN secretary General Ban ki Moon said polls should be cancelled.

Despite the many killed through the violence and the political unrest in the country,  the country’s national election commission has said it is ready for the elections on the Monday polls.
