The singer said that musicians need to know who they are and also identify their target audience. This will therefore help them to convert their large online numbers into physical ones.
“Musicians need to know who they are, and their target audiences. This will help be able to convert their online numbers into physical numbers,” singer said.
It should be recalled that musicians in Uganda have huge online fans. These have greatly supported their music digitally.
A song can be uploaded and in hours, it will have garnered thousands of views. Although it might not be watched by the singer’s fans only, they have ardent fans who watch these songs.
However when it comes to physical shows, these artists always have their concerts flopping. This is something the Mawokota north MP wants musicians to concentrate on.
Although these online views generate income for these musicians, it’s not always as significant as that from concerts.
Concerts are the main forms of earning money for these musicians. However, some of them who have good music barely make concerts for fear of flopping.
Good musicians such as Lydia Jazmine, A Pass, Vinka among others have never had concerts. Others such as Winnie Nwagi, Azawi just had their concerts after years of chart topping songs.
