Two Arrested For Trafficking Women Into Sexual Exploitation Activities

The Police at Kawempe Division in Kampala have arrested two suspects on allegations of trafficking persons for sexual exploitation. The suspects include; Nantale Brenda, a 21-year-old female adult and resident of Kigulu village in Wobulenzi.

Her accomplice, Ssewamala Lawrence, a 27-year-old is a resident of Kanyanya, Kawempe division in Kampala district.

According to Police Spokesperson SCP Fred Enanga, the suspects together with their Manager, Allen Arinaitwe, 30, who is on the run, recruited over 10 women and kept them in a rented room in Erisa zone, Kyebando parish in Kawempe division. From here, they apparently were recording pornographic videos and live sex performances.

Enanga said police recovered three computers, Wi-Fi gadgets, and dildos from the scene. He also reiterated the force’s commitment to combatting acts of trafficking persons.

The suspects will be arraigned in court once investigations into the case conclude.

“As the police, we do reiterate our commitment to combating trafficking in persons networks for sexual and labour exploitation. The suspects are being processed for court,” said Mr Enanga.
