Kwikiriza informed the deceased’s employer and his adjacent neighbor Mark Rugogo simultaneously.
Maate said that Emmanuel continued for work after this but found other people on the way, whom he told about the incident, including the area chairman Kabagambe Francis. The Chairman immediately alerted the police at Mabanga Police post who registered a case of murder.
Local authorities and residents headed to Luciano’s home but to their surprise didn’t find the body. However, they discovered it later dumped 70 meters away in some eucalyptus trees with deep head cuts.
Maate said the police registered a case of murder at Rukungiri Central Police Station under reference number CRB 885/ 2022. This will help in investigations while hunting for Rukirabashaija who is on the run.
