Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Francis Ngannou is going through a tough heartbreak after the sudden death of his 15-month-old son. The 37-year-old Cameroonian fighter couldn’t contain his grief as he took to social media to share the unfortunate news.
He wondered why life is so cruel as it always unleashes the harshest punishments.
“What’s the purpose of life if what we’re fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!?” “Why is life so unfair and merciless? Why does life always take what we don’t have? I’m f*****g tired.” he wrote.
Ngannou would go ahead to post another tribute to his son. He said that he felt so helpless with his son lying there lifeless. Additionally, the fighter said that he felt lost before asking anyone for help on how to deal with the situation.
“Too soon to leave but yet he’s gone. My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy. Now he’s laying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he’s not responding. I was my best self next to him and now I have no clue who I am. Life is so unfair to his us where it hurts the most,”
The unfortunate incident happened in his home country of Cameroon. No more details about the boy’s unfortunate death have been shared.
Fellow UFC fighters such as Conor McGregor have come out to sympathize with him. Other celebrities such as Nigerian singer Davido have also posted messages of showing support to Ngannou.
