Uganda Airlines is set to launch its first international flight later today. The flight will be to Dubai as acting CEO Jennifer Bamuturaki has confirmed.
‘’When I contacted my team this (Sunday) evening, we had about 80 to 100 paying customers, of course, they have to clean up the flight depending on no shows or cancellations but the numbers on the flight are paying passengers,’’ Bamuturaki said.
She further said the launch has come at the most opportune time because Dubai is a trade city, in a trade country. Therefore the company looks to maximize this opportunity.
She also said the Uganda Airlines comes to cement the trade partnerships that Uganda immensely talked about at the Dubai Expo.
She also threw some light on what the Airlines can emulate from Dubai’s thriving airline business.
‘’We learn about quality customer service, quality on board, and when it comes to the type of equipment we are flying with we compare,’’ she said.
The newest of the Airbus model, the A330 Neal will be the one plying the Dubai route. She also described the plane’s three levels namely, business, premium economy, and economy.
She, therefore, said in terms of competition Uganda airlines will be able to compete. Even internationally, because it has good equipment.
