Uganda ambassador to Kenya Phoebe Otaala has vowed to unseat Sarah Opendi energy and mineral minister as Tororo district woman member of parliament.
Otaala accuses opendi for failing to cause rapid development of the district despite of the huge district potential for business, border location and tourism.
“I trained Sarah Opendi in mature politics and service delivery but has failed to develop during her term but concentrated on cheap politics,”Otaala said.
She also accused Opendi for election malpractices and failure to deliver services to the locals during her term.
The Uganda ambassador pledged to use her position to transform the district to city status during her term as member of parliament saying the district has potential for growth.
“Tororo district is well placed at the border as industrialized and tourism sector.i will use my position to transform Tororo district to City status and up lift health care by having referral hospital in the area to serve patients from from Kenya,”she said.
