She was a hot thing not only in Uganda but also on the African continent.
Shockingly and suddenly, she quit her rap career and went to live in Canada.
Several scandals plagued her life, especially her sexuality. Things didn’t seem nice on the other side as she had expected. This is a question that was posed to her on the NBS After 5 program by Douglas Lwanga.
He asked her why she decided to come back to Uganda yet most young people are dying to go and settle in the North American country permanently.
According to the ‘This Is How We Do’ rapper, the sun was bright on the other side for her as soon as she got there. In two years’ time, she had completed her degree and started working with Apple.
However, she advised all the young people not to hesitate to go and chase their dreams there. She said that regret is something you don’t want to have later in life. However, Uganda will always call out loud.
Read below what she had to write.
“So yesterday I was at after 5 on @nbstelevision and @douglaslwanga was wondering why I decided to come back to Uganda when every young person wants to go to Canada. I told him I was the same and I tried it out, got a great education @torontofilmschool. Graduated in my first two years before Covid hit. Life’s great in Canada. That was me at my first job working with Apple in downtown Toronto. Soooooo all said and done, go for your dreams when you are young cuz regret is a b*tch. Go for it. Have fun. It’s a great country but Uganda always keep calling.”
Keko admitted to falling into depression when COVID-19 hit. This was induced by substance abuse. She however recently and is trying to revive her once budding music career.
