The “Empire State” actor who is on a visit to the country with his wife Miranda Park took to a tour of the farm. He was in the company of Hon Frank Tumwebaze, the Minister of Agriculture.
It was initially Tumwebaze who invited Howard to Uganda claiming that he would “explore Uganda’s uniqueness and spread the word.”
While at this farm, Howard was in awe of the long-horned Ankore cattle reared there. He said that it’s the first time he’s seeing such cows in Africa. He even asked Tumwebaze how these animals develop such horns.
The Minister said that it depends on the genes of its parents. The actor then expressed his desire to take some to the US.
Tumwebaze further told Terrence that these types of cattle are however decreasing. This is is due to the transition of farmers to rearing exotic breeds for milk.
The actor then proceeded to praise Uganda’s nature saying it’s paradise and the garden of Eden. This is due to the cooperative relationship between the animals, land, and people.
He also lavished President Museveni calling him the father of the country.
Terrence said that he’s heard about how long Museveni has been in power. This usually comes with abuse of power. However, for Museveni, he’s done such a commendable job.
According to the Iron Man co-star, they don’t show them such Ugandan beauty in the US. Furthermore, he said that the country is so welcoming and there are great possibilities. He concluded by saying that he’s now home.
“We are not allowed to see this ever in the US, the beauty is incredible. We don’t know how welcoming it is and the possibilities that will come from this place. And we are home.”
