Uganda Registers 4 New COVID-19 Cases

Uganda is still on tension with the new COVID-19 cases coming up almost on a daily basis from different boarders especially among the truck drivers. News that reached our desk this morning indicates that 4 new cases have been confirmed.

However, a total number of confirmed cases shoots to 79 out of the 1,578 samples tested among truck drivers. All new confirmed cases are Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border point.

Therefore stringent guidelines might be used to cargo truck drivers who use all border entry points to slow down the spread of Corona virus. Though the lock down is still underway, cases are increasing on a daily basis and everyone is suspicious whether the 21 additional days Museveni ordered for lock down will be enough.

Remember the number of recovered patients of COVID-19 in Uganda still stand at 46 and no registered death.
