Dr James Ssekisambu, the commissioner of health at prisons advised the staff to ignore social media allegations. According to her, these only want to derail them from doing what is right. He consoled the staff saying the vaccine was re-investigated by the World Health Organization and approved.
Meanwhile, one of the requirements currently needed for Prison’s Visitors is a negative Covid test. Anyone without that negative certificate will not see any inmate. It could be disastrous for any inmate to contract coronavirus. Now on top of that, in a time not far from now, even the vaccination cards will be needed especially when it is open to the public as well.
Apparently, it’s not mandatory to get the vaccine but the look of things it is. Most places in a few months will not be open for anyone who has not been vaccinated. This means by all means everyone eligible should be vaccinated not to have issues in the long run when it comes to access. However, the government needs to do more sensitisation for people to understand why they need vaccination.
