The Uganda U17 Men’s National Football Team is gearing up for a crucial battle to secure their ticket to the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup as they face off against The Gambia.
Following the intense final group matches at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the matchup between Uganda and The Gambia was officially announced this Monday.
The Gambia suffered a setback in their final group game, falling 2-1 to Tunisia, a result that relegated them to third place in Group C, with Tunisia and Senegal advancing to the quarterfinals.
Uganda wrapped up their group stage campaign in third position, enduring losses against Morocco and Zambia but clinching a victory over Tanzania.
