Video vixens yesterday came out in a local TV interview to decry the poor conditions they work under. They said that they are disappointed that when the musicians went to Gulu, they only talked about their problems.
However according to these video vixens, they are a great pillar to the music industry and without them, musicians can’t make more than 5 trending videos.
Apparently, they are subjected to peanut payments and usually comes in half and are defaulted at times.
These vixens added that some Ugandan musicians are unprofessional. They also added that they are subjected to sexual harassment in most cases.
They therefore want the likes of Gen. Salim Saleh and other concerned authorities to come out and help them.
The vixens further said that they are currently facing financial hardships as they have many responsibilities to fulfill.
“We work under very poor conditions. The pay from the musicians is most times little and paid in installments. Some of them subject us to sexual harassment. We therefore want the concerned authorities to think about us because we are a big pillar of this industry.” One of the vixens said.
After a number of musicians meeting Gen Saleh in Gulu, many people in the entertainment field have also come out to demand for help. They say it’s not only musicians who need assistance but everyone else.
