Uhuru Kenyatta Wins Kenya’s Repeat Elections In Kampala Votes

Incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubilee coalition on Thursday won in Uganda with 374 out the 383 valid votes cast at the Diaspora Polling Station hosted at the Kenyan High Commission in Kampala.

Despite boycott calls, the National Supper Alliance leader (NASA) Leader Raila Odinga garnered three votes in the polls characterised by a low voter turn out both in Kampala and in Kenya.

Mr Odinga on Wednesday asked his supporters not to participate in the repeat polls organised with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, a body that court faulted for the cancelled August 8 election. Only about 400 Kenyans living in Uganda voted out of the about 1,200 registered voters.

In the August 8 elections nullified by the Supreme Court of Kenya, President uhuru scored 408 votes against Odinga’s 322. Mr John Ekuuru Aukot and Mohamed Abduba Dida scored three and four votes respectively.
